Do you have a recommendation for a scanner brand that is particularly suitable for the Labordatenbank? Are there also specific requirements that the scanner software would have to meet to function optimally in conjunction with the Labordatenbank?
Basically, every scanner works like a keyboard - i.e., what the barcode / QR code "delivers" is inserted at the mouse cursor. You can imagine it exactly as if you were typing the content of the barcode / QR code. In laboratory practice, this is usually either a sample number or a link to the sample in the Labordatenbank.
The difference between barcode and QR code is the amount of characters and a certain redundancy in the latter.
Scanners are not programmed via software, but via scan. The enclosed operating manual usually contains a sheet with various barcodes. By scanning one of these codes, the scanner sets the configuration you want (usually an Enter after scanning, so that the sample is searched immediately or the link opens immediately).
This means for you: any scanner on the market that can handle barcodes and QR codes is suitable. The only difference: wireless or with a cable.
