There are several ways to create or edit a task:
The figure shows what the pop-up sidebar for creating and editing tasks looks like. The functions are described below.

Category
By selecting a category, you can assign a task to a specific category, e.g., Call or Appointment. You can define the categories yourself using the pencil icon next to the category selection.
When is the task due?
The following options are available for the task's due date:
Repeat task?
Automatically recurring tasks are created with the Repeat selection field. If you select Every day, Every week, Every month, etc., the task will reappear automatically after completion. The date is based on the initially set date. The repetition continues until the repeat option is deselected.
One or more responsible employees
If you are not responsible for a task yourself, you can select the responsible employee. If the task is not marked as completed by the due date, a reminder email will be sent to the responsible employee.
You can add multiple employees to a task using the Add more employees button. If one employee marks the task as completed, it will appear as completed for all responsible employees.
You can edit a task for yourself in the task window that appears on the right (in Sample list or Dashboard) or change the reminder email time (for today= default: 8 PM).

You can find tasks assigned to you under: Navigation bar Abbreviation My tasks or on the Navigation bar

To link a task with a specific sample (or order or customer) in LIMS, go to the detailed view of the sample and then click on Add task in the top right corner. The task will then be linked to this sample and will appear directly with this sample until completion.
The reminder email will contain information about the sample (or order or customer) and a direct link to the sample (or order or customer).
