Reissue of signed reports

The DIN EN ISO 17025 standard contains clear specifications for changing test reports that have already been approved or signed (new version). These specifications are adhered to by the LDB LIMS.

To make changes to a signed report, you must create a new copy of the corresponding test report. To create this new copy, search for the relevant (signed) report and click in the report overview on

On the next page, you can write a reason for the new report and optionally change the report number (the existing report will be copied and archived by the new report).

This is automatically taken into account:

  • The new version is automatically assigned a version number, which is appended to the test report number. The type of automatic append for new copies can be configured in the system settings (e.g.: RA240001.v1 or RA240001-01).
  • The following note appears on the test report: “replaces RA240001 from...”
  • The reason can appear optionally
  • All steps appear fully traceable in the audit trail The new copy of the test report can then be released and signed. If further changes are made, any number of new copies are possible with this scheme.
