SQL JOINs

To connect several tables with each other JOINs are necessary. So that in the end all results are also displayed, as desired here a small explanation how the elements appear in the different JOINs.

JOIN

With a "normal" JOIN, only those elements are displayed that occur in both tables.

LEFT JOIN

With a LEFT JOIN all elements of the FROM table are displayed and the corresponding, if existing, elements of the joined table.

RIGHT JOIN

Conversely, a RIGHT JOIN will display all the elements from the JOINed table, and if present, the elements from the FROM table.
