Download files in the Edge browser instead of opening them directly
When trying to open Excel or Word files in the Labordatenbank with the Edge browser, an error may occur, which can be resolved by deactivating the setting for directly opening Office files in the browser.
The following error message appears when trying to open Excel or Word files in the Labordatenbank with the new and updated Edge browser
Server Error
404 - File or directory not found.
The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.
In the Edge settings, there is an option to open stored files directly in the browser with the Office app. Please make the following setting in the browser and deactivate this setting so that Office files can no longer be opened in the browser.
