Connect your scanner to the Labordatenbank and send documents directly to an order or sample in the Labordatenbank.
In order for the scanned documents to be automatically assigned to an order or sample, the document must contain a QR code with the order or sample number (e.g. in the upper right-hand corner, see figure). The following scan formats are supported:
pdf, jpg, jpeg, gif, png
This function is ideal if you regularly receive samples together with receipt letters, both of which are recorded in the Labordatenbank.
After you have created the samples in the Labordatenbank, print two labels using the Labordatenbank. One label is kept with the sample itself and the other is attached to the upper right-hand corner of the receipt letter (see figure).
After this process is complete, scan all sample receipt letters (with QR code) and send the scanned documents to the Labordatenbank e-mail address mentioned above. Many scanners offer the possibility to send documents automatically to a predefined e-mail address after scanning.
All received documents will be displayed in the Labordatenbank under
Settings -> Files stored -> Scanned documents.
Settings for the scanner:
The following scan formats are supported: tif, pdf, jpg, jpeg, png. Files saved with the jpg format tend to work best.
The optimal file size is between 1 and 3 MB (the maximum file size per e-mail is 10 MB).
For multi-page documents, only a single QR code is needed of the first page.
The QR code must not be in the middle of the sheet.
In the scanner, "Portrait" must be selected, landscape formats are not recognized. Landscape format documents can be scanned with "Portrait" setting.
Save the e-mail address shown above in your scanner so that scanned documents are automatically sent to this e-mail address.
