Labordatenbank data structure
The LDB is based on the following data structure:
- A customer has
ncontacts andnorders (n = 0, 1 oder mehrere). - An order belongs to only
onecustomer, containsnsamples andnreports. - A sample belongs to only
oneorder, hasonespecification / testing schedule andnparameters. - A report belongs to only
oneorder and hasnsamples. - A specification / testing schedule has
nnominal values, each of which is valid for onlyoneparameter. - A parameter appears in
nsamples, hasnnominal values, and belongs to onlyoneparameter group. - A parameter group contains
nparameters.
The diagram is a simplified visualization of main data structure of the LDB.
Elements like employees, access rights, offers, bills, receipts, notes, e-mails. etc. were not included for the sake of simplicity.
