Before the Customer Zone can be activated, a contact must be created for the customer. For more information, refer to Add contact persons at customers.
You can activate the Customer Zone during the contact creation process by assigning a username and password.
If the contact has already been created, you can activate the Customer Zone afterward:
Share the login credentials and the URL for accessing the Customer Zone with the customer.
Your URL is https://labordatenbank.com/demo/customers/login
The Customer Zone is now set up, and the customer can access the content made available to them.
If you want to create the same contact under different customers with an identical email address, you need to add a suffix to the address.
Example:
maxmustermann@musterlabor.de
maxmustermann+secondCustomer@musterlabor.de
Emails will still be delivered to the same mailbox, but the system can distinguish the contacts through the suffix.
When resetting a password, everything between the +
and the @
is ignored, so the reset email will always be sent to the correct email address (maxmustermann@musterlabor.de
in this example).
