Query Explorer

Ask questions in everyday language – ask your Labordatenbank directly: “Which samples are overdue?” or “Sales by customer this week?” The AI integrated in Query Explorer automatically generates the corresponding query (SQL query) and delivers immediately usable results. No SQL knowledge, no IT department, no waiting time. Frequently used queries can be saved as query reports and integrated into dashboards.

You can find the Query Explorer under: Navigation bar → any dropdown menu in the left-hand area → Query Explorer

The AI Explorer allows users to:

  • Ask questions in natural language.
  • The AI automatically generates the appropriate SQL query.
  • The result is clearly displayed and can be expanded if necessary.
  • Useful queries can then be saved as query reports and integrated into the dashboard if required.

Functions in AI Explorer

Enter question

  • At the bottom of the page, you will find the text input field Enter your question here... in the left-hand area.
  • Enter your question in this field.
  • Click on the blue Send button (paper airplane icon) to the right of the input field to send your question to the AI.
  • Alternatively, you can click on the blue sample question in the middle section.

Result

The result is divided into two areas:

  1. AI assistance area (left side of the page)
  2. Query area: Results table and SQL editor (right side of the page)

Once the SQL query for your question has been created, the results table will appear in the right-hand section of the page.

  • Click on Display SQL Query above the table to open the SQL editor and view the query created by the AI to determine your result.
  • If necessary, you can customize the query in the editor or enter additional questions in the AI assistance area to adjust the query.
  • To execute the query, click on Show result in the assistance area or on Run query in the SQL editor (in the lower right area of the SQL editor).

You can easily save useful queries.
There are two buttons available for this purpose:

  • Add as dashboard element
Adds this query as a widget to the selected dashboard.
  • Save as query report
Saves the query for later use as a query report.

You will find these buttons above the query result.

For each additional question within a session, the query is adjusted and the AI assistance area is expanded downward.
You can recall previous results by clicking on Show result.
