Report tables overview

This overview describes the different table formats for reports in the Labordatenbank and explains their optimal uses.

Which report table format is optimal for your report can be found in this overview.

The Parameter Table is ideal for displaying multiple parameters with the same column structure. The selected parameters are displayed one below the other, row by row. If there are multiple samples in a report, all parameter tables containing the selected parameters are displayed for the first sample, then the second sample below, and so on.
Images added to a sample using the upload parameter data type can also be displayed in the parameter table (see Parameter data types under data type upload). The following image formats are supported: .JPEG, .PNG, .GIF.

Parameter Table

The Sample Table is ideal for displaying sample master data and/or a few parameters (< 5) side by side. The samples are displayed one below the other, row by row.

Sample Table

In the Table with Open Structure, each cell for each row is defined and formatted individually.
The table with open structure allows for the design of any table structure. For this, the content for each individual cell in each row must be defined (no rows are dynamically inserted).

Table with Open Structure

The Parameter Table for Multiple Samples is ideal for displaying multiple parameters with the same column structure. The selected parameters are displayed one below the other, row by row. Any number of samples can be displayed if the corresponding checkbox is activated (Insert new tables if the number of samples exceeds the horizontally displayable area.). Furthermore, it is possible to repeatedly display columns such as the unit or the method of the parameter with each table break.

Parameter Table for Multiple Samples

The SQL Table displays data retrieved directly from the database via an SQL query. The columns set here must exactly match the attributes of the SQL query.
Creating SQL queries requires a separate access right.

Bar Chart for SQL Table

For tables with SQL queries, you can store an SQL query in the yellow-highlighted field after saving the table type.

In the table type Parameter Images, images that have been stored for a parameter with a sample (parameter data type: upload) can be displayed. All parameters selected for the report table are considered. The stored images appear one below the other in the order of the parameters and parameter columns. The following image formats are supported: .JPEG, .PNG, .GIF.
