Edit evaluation criteria for suppliers

The editing form for evaluation criteria allows the definition of criteria and their evaluation levels for a standardized supplier assessment.

Evaluation Criteria Editing Form

The image shows the editing form for a single evaluation criterion. This view appears when you want to edit an existing criterion or create a new evaluation criterion for supplier assessment.

Structure of the Editing Form

The form is divided into four main areas:

Customer Type: A dropdown menu for selecting the category, which allows you to assign the evaluation criterion to a specific customer type. This is important as different supplier types may require different evaluation standards.

Criterion: A text field for entering the criterion name. In the example shown, "On-time Delivery" is entered, which evaluates adherence to delivery dates.

Explanation: A larger text field for a detailed description of the criterion. Here, it is defined what exactly is understood by this evaluation aspect. In the example: "On-time delivery is understood to mean adherence to the delivery deadline."

Rating: The lower area shows the configurable rating levels with their associated explanations:

The Rating Levels for On-time Delivery

In the example shown, the rating levels for the "On-time Delivery" criterion are configured:

  • A (Green): "Deadline met" - Delivery takes place on the agreed date, best rating
  • B (Yellow): "3 days late" - Slight delay, which is still tolerable
  • C (Orange): "10 days late" - Significant delay, which is already problematic
  • D and E: Are available for further rating levels (not filled in the image)

Configure Rating System

At the bottom of the form, it is indicated that you can choose between two rating systems:

  • Three levels (A, B, C) - for a simplified rating system
  • Five levels (A, B, C, D, E) - for a more detailed rating with more gradations

The selection of the rating system determines how many evaluation options are available to employees for the actual supplier evaluation.

Save and Manage

At the bottom of the form are the action buttons:

  • Save: Saves the new or edited evaluation criterion
  • Cancel: Cancels the editing process without saving changes

Application in Practice

This form allows you to create specific evaluation criteria for different customer types. For example, you can define different quality criteria for technical suppliers than for office material suppliers. The clear definition of rating levels ensures consistent and comprehensible supplier evaluations throughout the company.
