Create a new column:

  1. Open the relevant report table in the report table editor.
  2. Scroll to the “Content of table” section.
  3. Click on + Create report table.

Edit existing column:

  1. Open the relevant report table in the report table editor.

Steps for configuring a column

1. Basic configuration of the column

  1. Define header (text field): Enter a meaningful column title that accurately describes the column content. The header appears as the heading of the respective column in the report.
  2. Set column width (text field): Specify the width of the column in millimeters (e.g., 25 mm). Take into account the longest expected content plus a little buffer for better readability.
  3. Select alignment: Two drop-down selection fields allow you to specify the horizontal alignment of the text within the column and the vertical alignment between the top and bottom cell borders.
    • Horizontal alignment (drop-down selection): centered, left, right.
    • Vertical alignment (drop-down selection): split, top, middle, bottom are available as options.

2. Select data source

  1. Data type: Select the data type whose data you want to display in the column.
  2. Specify which data category you want to use from the selected data type.
🔺 Different data types may be available depending on the table type.

3. Configuration options for fields without values

Replace empty fields (dropdown selection): Select the entry that replaces an empty field in the column.

4. Configure translations (if necessary)

  1. Translation table (checkbox): Select the checkbox to link the column to the translation table and apply it to this column.
By activating the translation table, translations from the translation table are used for multilingual PDF templates and the entries are translated accordingly. This allows high-quality results to be translated automatically.
  2. Link to translation table (blue): Open the translation table via the link to update translations.

5. Special formatting for this column

☑ Enable customized formatting for this Column (checkbox): Check the box to activate the customized formatting option for this column.
🔺 If a separate formatting is enabled for this column, it overwrites the format set for this table.
