Create table with parameter limit values

With a limit value table, you can define upper and/or lower limits for parameter values. If a value is too high (or too low), it will be color-coded. Limit values can be displayed in reports and are suitable for managing limit values, specifications, test plans or target-actual comparisons.

1.) To create a Threshold Table, go to Samples -> Threshold Tables in the menu bar. Then, you can create a new Threshold Table using the plus symbol .

2.) Give the Threshold Table a name and click Save.

3.) After saving, the Threshold Table will open for editing, and you can now add thresholds. To do this, click on Search Parameter and select the parameter for which you want to define a limit.

4.) Define the limits (rules) that the parameter should adhere to.

Examples for limits:

  • Maximum Value: If the temperature parameter should remain below 25°C, define the limit as Value < 25. This way, a temperature of 28°C will automatically be marked in red.
  • Intermediate Value: If the pH value must be between 6.5 and 8.5, define the limit as Value > 6.5 AND < 9.5 (see Fig.).

  • Fixed Value: If only a tensile test marked as "OK" is to be released, define the rule as Value = OK.

To delete a Threshold Table, check the checkbox to archive the Threshold Table, and the Save button will turn into the Archive button.
