To optimally use the LDB LIMS, the following IT requirements must be met:

General Information

The LDB is a web-based LIMS system operated as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) in the AWS Cloud in Frankfurt. Access is exclusively via web browsers. Thanks to its responsive design, the full range of functions is available on any computer (Windows, macOS, Linux), tablet, or smartphone.

System Requirements

• Browser: Latest versions of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari.
• Operating System: Windows 10/11, macOS, Linux, Android, or iOS.

Network Requirements

• Internet connection: Broadband connection with at least 10 Mbit/s (symmetric recommended).

Collaboration with your IT department

We kindly ask for your IT department's cooperation on the following points:

1. Single Sign-On (SSO) and Authentication:

• Provision of SSO using an OAuth 2.0-compatible method.
• Alternatively, multi-factor authentication (MFA) via Passkey or time-based two-factor authentication (2FA) via password manager or key is possible.

2. Email Sending:

• Provision of a dedicated email account (e.g., zentrallabor@labor.de) including SMTP access data.
• Note: For Microsoft, authentication will be done via OAuth starting in October.

3. Additional Local Backup:

• If desired, we request the provision of an SFTP drive for local data backup.
