1. Open the Play Store (Android) or Apple Store (iOS) on your smartphone
2. Search for Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator
3. Install the app with the colorful Google symbol (Google Authenticator) or the blue Microsoft symbol with the blue lock with head (Microsoft Authenticator)

4. After the successful installation, open the app
5. Click on the colorful plus to add a new code
6. Select Scan a QR code and scan the QR code from the lab database
7. The app will then show you a 6-digit code that renews every 30 seconds.
8. Enter this code for activation when creating the TOTP, see activate Multi-Factor-Authentification (MFA) with TOTP

Alternatively, you could also use a browser extension to generate the TOTP codes.
