The LDB uses the UTF-8 character set for report generation.

The character set UTF-8 allows the display of characters from all common languages worldwide. A corresponding font is required for displaying the respective language.

The LDB includes the fonts: Arial, Times, Verdana, DejaVue, Roboto

This supports the languages of Western Europe, America, and Australia (Afrikaans, Albanian, Basque, Danish, German, English, Estonian, Faroese, Finnish, French, Irish Gaelic, Icelandic, Italian, Catalan, Dutch, North Frisian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Romansh, Scottish Gaelic, Swedish, Spanish, Swahili, and Walloon; Turkish and Hungarian).

Furthermore, two fonts for Chinese are also stored in the LDB.

Fonts for additional languages can be integrated in TrueType-Fonts (TTF) format.
