To add a new control chart to a test equipment, click on * Control Charts* in the test equipment view and then on "Create Control Chart". Any number of control charts can be created for each test equipment.

When creating or editing the control chart, you define the upper and action limits. Alternatively, you can activate the Shewhart control chart, which automatically calculates the limits from the mean and standard deviation of the existing control values.

You can (optionally) automatically set the test equipment to locked status by using the following checkboxes.
If a releasing test equipment is locked as a result, the responsible persons will be informed by email, provided they did not enter the decisive control value themselves.

• 1 control value is outside the upper or lower limit.
• 2 consecutive control values are above or below the action limit.
• 9 consecutive control values are above or below the mean.
• 6 consecutive control values increase / decrease.
• 14 control values strictly alternate between falling and rising.

Control measurements can be entered manually or automatically imported from the test equipment.

In the completed control chart, you can read the defined limits, the entered values, and the mean of the entered measurements.
