LDB release history 2020

A description of the latest general additions, changes and corrections to LDB.

2020.50

System Settings
The LDB system settings offer several additional configuration options. You can find the system settings in the navigation bar under "Settings " (access permission is required).

Configurable Input Masks
The import interfaces now include the option to create a form (input mask). This allows you to generate an input mask from an import interface. The completed form is then transferred to the import interface just like an import file. The columns for the form are automatically generated from the fields defined in the import mapping.

1. Create an import interface with the “Form” data format

2. Define fields via import mapping

3. Use the input mask

Material Management
Material Management now also includes an Excel export feature.

Plate Management
Use this feature to scan your samples and position them on your MTP/elution plates via drag-and-drop. This records, for each sample, which plate it is on and its position on the plate. This information can then be used by a pipetting robot or for importing measurement data.

New Features for Analysis
  • Forward to Results Table -> Column Filter

  • Display reports in the Sample View only for samples within a selected range

  • Display reports in the Customer View only for customers in a selected category

  • Variables from reports can now also be used in the chart settings.

Automatic Reporting to DEMIS or EMS
Test results subject to reporting and notification requirements can be sent digitally directly from LDB to the German Electronic Reporting and Information System (DEMIS) or the Austrian Epidemiological Reporting System (EMS). To activate these interfaces, you must apply for the appropriate certificate from the reporting authority.

New Access Right: View Own Audit Trail
With this access right, you give your employees full insight into their own work steps without making their colleagues’ work steps visible.

  • 2020.18

    04/27/20
  • In report tables of the "Parameter Table" type, images associated with parameters can now also be displayed. This allows, for example, image documentation to be included in inspection reports.

  • Control charts can now track up to three control values (e.g., value, min, max) per control chart.

  • Reports can now also be displayed as a calendar.

  • The column width for PDF reports can now be set separately for each column.

  • The JSON export for reports has been improved.

  • Access rights to 8D reports can now be set individually for each 8D report.

  • For online analysis requests, selected test packages are now also taken into account during sample acceptance.
  • 2020.14

    03/30/20
    • When importing samples via the import interface, the parameters to be analyzed can also be selected by specifying a test package.
    • The new measurement data import mode An CSV-Zahlenreihe anhängen " allows the import of data series into parameter columns of the CSV data type.

    • The import interfaces have been expanded to include the import mode ` ignore_with_warning ` to prevent overwriting and to notify the user of the presence of values that have already been entered.

    • The report search has been expanded to include an additional search option. This means you can now also search by the date the reports were signed.

    • The specifications (threshold tables) now display linked associated price items.

    • The parameter view now displays linked associated test packages.

    • Additional information is displayed for orders. For example, completed tasks for the order and completed tasks for associated samples are now shown.

    • To provide more details at a glance for automatic reminders—such as upcoming calibrations or maintenance—the test equipment number is now displayed alongside the task.

    • There is now a customizable PDF print output for formulations.

    • If a batch of a used material has been consumed, it can now be marked as consumed in batch management.

    • New function for parameter formulas: csventry(pos, Zahlenreihe)
Similar to first(number series) or last(number series), this function allows you to retrieve individual numbers from a number series.
See instructions: Calculating with Number Series

    • Reports can now also be made available on a customer-specific basis in the Customer Zone.

    • New report examples have been added.

    2020.11

    03/09/20
When importing samples, you can use parameter columns to select whether or not certain parameters are included for each sample—for example, if you receive a file from a customer for sample import with different parameter selections for each sample.

You can now also upload images directly to a sample’s parameters via the import interfaces (see Import Interface Settings: HTTPS POST Example).

Test packages can now be removed from a sample retroactively in the sample view. When this is done, the test package—including all parameters that are empty and not used by any other test package—is removed from the sample.

In Material Management, you can store your suppliers’ order numbers and use them to trigger reorders for exactly the right material from the right supplier with the click of a button. Initially, the system supports Amazon and Carl Roth as suppliers.

The search for 8D reports now also allows you to search for specific master data.

There are several new examples in the reports, as well as a feature to link reports to stored files; reports can also be organized under “QM” in the navigation bar.

    2020.06

    02/03/20
New Feature: Edit Sample Master Data in a Table

In the "Batch Edit Samples" section, you can now edit sample master data in a table (similar to the results table). This allows you to quickly enter different values for up to 4 sample master data entries across multiple samples.

Individual reports can now also be exported as PDF and JSON files. The JSON export is particularly useful in combination with HTTPS retrieval, allowing you to implement interfaces to third-party systems.

    2020.04

    01/20/20
    Two-Factor Authentication for LDB Accounts

For the Enterprise Cloud, it is now possible to provide additional protection for LDB accounts by enabling two-factor authentication.

LDB uses the Time-based One-time Password (TOTP) method for two-factor authentication, which is compatible with all common smartphone authentication apps.

Furthermore, with this update, selected parameter groups in sample templates can now be disabled, so that when creating samples, you only see the parameter groups that are relevant to a specific sample template.

    2020.03

    01/13/20
There are two new parameter data types.

    range
With the "range " data type, values are entered using a slider that can be moved to the left or right.

The slider starts in the middle and can be moved to the left (0) or to the right (100). Other ranges can be defined using a formula. For example, for the range from -1 to +1, the formula is this(0)/50-1; for the range from 1 to 5, the formula is this(0)/25+1.

    checkbox
With the checkbox data type, input is performed by selecting a checkbox.

A selected checkbox is stored as 1 in the background.

See the guide: Parameter Data Types

Additionally, a parameter can now be highlighted in color by assigning a color to the parameter label in the parameter settings.

    2020.02

    01/06/20
The status of test equipment (approved, blocked, etc.) is now displayed directly next to the corresponding parameters in the "Create/Edit Test" screen.

For the automatic import of files, the order number can now be used to link files to an order.

Two new functions for parameter formulas:

zahlenformat(Zahl, Dezimalstellen, Dezimalzeichen, Tausendertrennzeichen) allows you to format a number, including a thousands separator.
See instructions: Defining Formulas for Parameters

csvverketten(Text 1, Text 2) allows you to concatenate series of numbers line by line
See instructions: Calculating with Series of Numbers
