Our Program Contributions

What to Expect from Labordatenbank, Primavera, and Splashlake

Real-world practice instead of sales pitches: A customer shares her journey from Excel to LIMS, our team demonstrates AI in everyday accredited lab operations, and together with Splashlake, you will see balances and liquid handlers connected live to a cloud LIMS.

From Excel to LIMS: Gathering Requirements, Selecting Vendors, and Successfully Managing Implementation

A year ago, Lea Ostermeier from Quality Assurance at Primavera Life was right where many LIMS-Forum attendees find themselves today: Excel spreadsheets, legacy processes, and the question of which LIMS is the right fit. She shares how Primavera compiled requirements, evaluated vendors, and ultimately implemented Labordatenbank. An honest look behind the scenes, including pitfalls and hurdles.

  • Why Primavera decided to implement a LIMS
  • Mapping existing processes and identifying requirements
  • Involving QA, IT, and other stakeholders
  • Practical requirement specifications and vendor selection
  • Product demos, evaluation, and final decision
  • Insights from the rollout
  • Lessons learned: Pitfalls and critical success factors

AI in the Lab: Onboarding with Real Examples from Accredited Laboratories

We demonstrate step by step how accredited laboratories in environmental, food, QA, materials testing, and veterinary medicine are using AI to automate processes today—fully GDPR-compliant and aligned with accreditation standards. Regardless of which LIMS you use.

  • Using frontier models (Claude, Gemini, GPT, Mistral) securely in daily lab routines
  • Importing unstructured protocols and forms into the system in a validated manner
  • Connecting instruments and systems without coding or costly IT projects
  • AI in quality management and audits
  • Analyzing and delivering data with AI
  • Plus: NIS-2 guideline for laboratories in critical infrastructure and data protection update

Balances and Liquid Handlers Live on Cloud LIMS, with Splashlake

Together with Splashlake, we demonstrate how lab instruments connect to a cloud LIMS without custom development. You perform a weighing, and the measurement transfers directly to the test order. A Hamilton liquid handler retrieves its worklist from Labordatenbank and feeds results back.

  • Balance integration with cloud LIMS: weigh, capture, approve
  • Hamilton liquid handler integration: export worklists, import results
  • Audit trails and raw data remain fully traceable
  • Bring your instrument questions along—we will discuss your specific use case

Foyer and LIMS exhibition, Wednesday 11:15 a.m.–7:00 p.m. and Thursday 8:45 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
