Answer audit questions based on your approved documents with AI support

The Audit Assistant answers questions about your quality management system stored in the laboratory database by making your approved QM documents searchable and providing AI-supported answers.

For this purpose, stored PDFs and documents created in the laboratory database are automatically analyzed, divided into individual sections and stored in a Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) format. When a user asks a question, the AI searches for the relevant document sections and generates the answer with references to the corresponding sections in the documents.

The decisive advantage: the answer is not freely generated from general AI knowledge, but is based on your own shared documents. The sources used are displayed for each answer. Including document number, name, version, chapter, page and direct link to the reference in the PDF.

The Audit Assistant thus combines the strength of modern AI with the traceability that quality management representatives (QMBs) in the laboratory need for audits.

Developed for QMBs in the laboratory

In audits, it is not only the correct answer that counts, but above all traceability. The Audit Assistant was developed precisely for this situation.

QMBs can respond quickly to questions during audit preparation or directly during the audit and immediately show where the relevant regulation is documented. This saves time, reduces search effort and increases confidence in discussions with auditors.

Always based on your approved document versions

The Audit Assistant works with the currently released documents from the document control system. This ensures that answers are not based on outdated drafts or unreleased interim versions.

Documents can be created directly in the laboratory database or stored as PDF files. Once they have been checked and approved with a digital signature, they are available as a verified knowledge base for the Audit Assistant.

Integration with access rights

The Audit Assistant takes the user's access rights into account and only uses documents to which the user has access to answer the questions.

Intelligent search across all QM documents

Uploaded PDFs and documents created in the laboratory database are processed by the AI for the Audit Assistant in terms of content and structured into individual sections. These sections are saved in a Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) format so that relevant content can be found in a targeted manner and used to answer audit questions.

This allows the Audit Assistant to recognize suitable passages even if the question does not exactly match the wording in the document.

The laboratory database combines document creation, versioning, checking, approval, digital signature and AI-supported evaluation in one system.
