Topics

What we have prepared for you

The key topics at analytica 2026

AI in the laboratory

Artificial intelligence in the laboratory – secure, validated and practical.

AI has become part of everyday laboratory work. Leading frontier models GPT, Gemini, Claude and Mistral are integrated directly into LDB.

Laboratories use powerful AI imports to structure unstructured data such as records, external laboratory data and measurements. They also use AI for intelligent analysis of measurement and quality data, directly in LDB.

The result: Less manual work, a clearer overview, accreditation compliance, security and validation.

Experience AI in your LIMS
SHAPTH interface

A new format for drinking water and hygiene.

The new interface for mandatory reporting replaces TEIS, TWISTweb, Sebam, LabDüs, Octoware, NiWaDab and similar systems. Different formats and requirements across Germany’s federal states made the process time-consuming and prone to errors.

SHAPTH, the standardised exchange format for drinking water and hygiene testing, now provides a common standard that greatly simplifies data exchange between laboratories and authorities.

Our LIMS experts Stefanie Bergauer and Miriam Weyden are actively involved in the SHAPTH expert committee.

Switching LIMS

When a legacy system from the 1990s is discontinued.

Many established client-server systems have been extensively customised over decades. Today, they are reaching their limits: Standards such as e-invoicing and SHAPTH, IT security and support can no longer be maintained with reasonable effort.

The central laboratory of Netze BW Wasser (EnBW) faced exactly this situation and chose LDB. In an interview, Catharina Rath, Quality Management Representativeexplains which factors made the difference.
